If there is one place anyone who visits Singapore must see, it is definitely Gardens By the Bay. With this being a classic tourist attraction, I knew I would hit the crowds when I visited on a Sunday evening, but had a great experience nonetheless. I highly recommend doing the gardens between 6-8pm, as you will see everything before, during, and after the sunset, providing for some magnificent views.
Supertree Grove

Okay, wow - this place is absolutely insane. I had seen countless pictures of the supertrees online, but I was blown away by their size and magnificence in person. Giving off a futuristic vibe, the trees are full of exotic plants and are outfitted with various environmental technologies, such as photovoltaic cells that harness solar energy to power the lighting. Some of the trees stand almost 160 feet tall, and the OCBC Skyway overlooks not only the trees, but the entire Singapore skyline as well.
The best part of the entire evening was most definitely the mesmerizing Garden Rhapsody, a light show that occurs twice each evening amongst the supertrees. I would liken it to a "tree rave" of sorts, with the trees and skyway lighting up in coordination with music from various films and theater.
Don't miss this must-see show (sorry for the vertical video): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ePhJcG8M8sw&feature=youtu.be

Cloud Forest

The next best part of Gardens by the Bay has got to be the Cloud Forest, built to be a realm that mimics a high-altitude mountain covered in lush vegetation and a waterfall.
Even more amazing is the fact that this entire conservatory is contained in an air-conditioned (!!!) dome - a relief from the humidity.
Home to the world's tallest indoor waterfall (over 100 ft tall), you will probably get a little wet as you walk through the exhibit, but the greenery is absolutely breathtaking.
Take the elevator up to the top floor to descend down ramps that showcase the flowers and tropical vegetation that exist at various altitudes on a normal mountain.
See below for some more pictures from the Cloud Forest!
Flower Dome
To be entirely honest, I had higher expectations for this part of Gardens By the Bay. Known for its amazing display of flowers and plants from all across the world, I was particularly excited to see the tulip exhibit temporarily on display. However, the floral display had recently ended, so there were minimal flowers and mostly trees and exotic plants.
Since this dome comes in the overall package, it is worth a visit, but won't take up as much of your time.
